See it all or take it easy? Take it easy. I'm usually working and then I want to relax. I always make it to all the places that I want to see.
Drive or be driven? Drive.
Travel hero: Rihanna. It seems like she's always in fun places.
Weirdest thing seen on travels: A gang of eight- or maybe ten-year-olds trying to pickpocket me in Cape Town. First they used a dog as a decoy, then they surrounded me in a circle. I shooed them away and went into the building on the corner to a bar on the second floor. I watched them from the window, gauging if I could make it to the car before they got to me, in case they tried to pickpocket me again. At the end of the night as I was getting into the car, they all jumped in with me. I physically kicked two of them out and tried to drive away, but my car was pinned into the space, so I had to slam into the cars in front and in back of me as I tried to escape. I got on the highway and sped up the coast. When I got to a stop light, the kid hiding in the back seat put his hands over my eyes from behind. We both scrambled out of the car and I punched him in the chest. I had to. I was under attack. I left him on the side of the road. He was fine.
Best hotel amenity: Windows that open.
I dream about my meal at Omen in NYC.
Everywhere I go, I check out the Japanese restaurants.
When I arrive in a new place, I learn the lay of the land by listening to the local crew.
I always bring home presents for my gal.
If I never return to Cape Town, it'll be too soon because I hate it there.
I travel for the job and the experience.
