Take the train to Tung Chung Station and then a cable car up to the 112-foot Tian Tan Buddha (aka Big Buddha) on Hong Kong's Lantau island. It is customary to throw your coins at the tranquil bronze statue. (Guess you've got to give a little to get a little.)

MYSTIC KNOT

Get nautical. Star Ferry runs between HK Island and Kowloon and is one of the best (and cheapest) ways to see the whole city at once. An evening ride shows off the especially glittery side of the Hong Kong Island.
